    OVERVIEW

God has called us to serve in Belize in 2026!

Following the example of Christ, Amazing Facts International and Granite Bay Hilltop Seventh-day Adventist Church will minister to the needs of the Belizeans while sharing the good news of the gospel. We will provide medical and dental care, present a Vacation Bible School (VBS), and support the construction of a church, giving communities a place to gather and worship God. Additionally, we will provide evangelism training to pastors and local church leaders.

This mission trip will conclude with a special event: Pastor Doug Batchelor will preach on Brotherhood Sabbath, April 18, where around 4,000 people from across the country will come together to worship and celebrate the many souls who will enter the waters of baptism.

If you would like to be part of our support team, don't hesitate to sign up! We are confident that it will be a blessing for you, as there is no greater joy than seeing others come to know Christ.

Can’t join us in person? You can still be part of the mission! Your gift helps bring hope, resources, and the love of Christ to those in need. Every donation makes a real difference.

    CONSTRUCTION

We will be building the church in Ladyville. Currently, the congregation meets in a small house that is not only in poor condition, but it is also too small for their growing membership. For years, they have dreamed of building a proper church, but financial limitations have made it impossible. Now, through this project, we have the opportunity to help them make that dream a reality.

Additionally, we will be assisting with the renovation of a school located on the outskirts of the city. This school has been neglected for many years, yet it remains one of the primary Adventist schools in the area. We want the children to have a safe and decent place for their studies and activities.

    HEALTH EXPO

We will provide four days of free medical and dental care to an underserved community in Belize City, which has limited access to proper healthcare. Although located in the city, many people still lack access to medical attention and affordable medicines. We are confident that this initiative will be a great blessing in their lives. Our goal is not only to minister to their physical needs but also to point them to Christ, so they may come to know Him as their ultimate healer.

   CHILDREN'S OUTREACH

The VBS team will host a special program at two public schools in the area. This will be a wonderful opportunity to teach children of different ages about Jesus through Bible stories, activities, and songs.

    ABOUT BELIZE

LANGUAGE
The official language of Belize is English. However, many residents also speak Kriol (Belizean Creole), Spanish, and various Mayan languages.

CLIMATE
Belize has a tropical climate with distinct wet and dry seasons. The dry season typically runs from November to April, while the wet season is from May to October. Temperatures are consistently warm year-round, with average highs of around 86°F (30°C) and lows of around 79°F (26°C).

LOCATION & GEOGRAPHY
Belize is a small nation situated on the northeastern coast of Central America. It borders Mexico, Guatemala, and the Caribbean Sea. Its territory includes numerous islands and the world’s second-largest barrier reef. The capital is Belmopan, although Belize City is the largest and best-known city.

POPULATION & RELIGION
At just over 417,000 residents, Belize is one of the least-populated countries in Central America, yet its population is remarkably diverse, comprising Mestizos, Creoles, Garifuna, Maya, Mennonites, and communities of Asian and East Indian descent. The majority are Christian, with Roman Catholicism and Protestant denominations being the most prominent, as well as smaller groups of other faiths.

ECONOMY & SOCIAL CHALLENGES
Belize’s economy is driven by tourism, as well as agriculture (sugarcane, citrus, and bananas), fishing, and the service industry. The country also exports seafood, timber, and petroleum. Although Belize is peaceful compared to some of its neighboring countries, it faces challenges such as poverty, limited access to healthcare, unemployment, and crime in certain urban areas.
